Verdict

Nectar AI is a name-brand companion platform now: 17,886 monthly US search visits and brand demand around 18,100 a month. The chat-to-image-to-video loop around one persistent companion is the draw. The catch is transparency, since no price exists in public until you hand over an account.

Nectar AI builds one companion and keeps it. Chat develops the persona, and the platform generates images and interactive video of that same companion as the relationship progresses, rather than treating generation and chat as separate tools. The character library is community-driven with an unusually deep tag system, and the operator runs recurring community events promoted on the homepage. A free tier is confirmed in the platform's own FAQ.

Pricing sits entirely behind the login

Navigating to nectar.ai/pricing redirects straight back into the app with a login prompt, and no public pricing page exists as of this review. The only figure visible anywhere is a third-party quote on Nectar's own testimonial wall citing $5/month on the annual plan. That figure is attributed here, not verified. The same wall quotes more than a dozen reviews, all from aggregators and affiliate outlets, one of them an affiliate-network directory entry, so read the praise with that incentive structure in mind.

Who runs it

The site footer names Lick Labs LTD of Great Portland Street, London, alongside a Delaware address, with a copyright line running 2023 to 2026. The platform operates at nectar.ai (historically trynectar.ai, still its X handle). Policy pages for terms, privacy, content removal, complaints, and anti-trafficking are linked in the footer; our Ghost checks on those pages remain unverified pending a full policy read of the corrected domain.

Pricing notesFree tier confirmed via on-site FAQ. Paid rates are only shown after login; a third-party quote on Nectar's own testimonial wall cites $5/month on the annual plan, which we could not verify on a public pricing page.
Actual pricesNot published pre-login as of July 2026; nectar.ai/pricing redirects to the app. A reviewer quoted on Nectar's own testimonial wall cites $5/month on the annual plan (unverified).
Free tier realityConfirmed to exist by the platform's own FAQ. Limits are not published pre-login.
Payment methodsNot verifiable pre-login. No payment method information is published outside the account area.
Genuine criticismThe public face of the platform is built almost entirely on affiliate praise: the homepage testimonial wall quotes aggregators and affiliate outlets, including an affiliate-network directory, while withholding hard pricing until after signup. Independent verification of quality claims is effectively impossible without paying first.
